Ravens Call Cottage at Galleon Beach Getaway
Ravens Call Cottage is a short block and a half from Galleon Beach, for swimming, beach combing and Hornby's most spectacular sunsets. A two-minute drive takes you to the Community Hall, host to the Farmer’s Market as well as concerts, dances, art exhibits and great movies. Another two minutes and you're at the Co-op Store, Ringside Market and the expansive white sands of Tribune Bay. Or leave your car and enjoy an easy cycle along the community bike path.
Ravens Call Cottage has a modern, well-equipped
kitchen with a full-size fridge and stove, plus microwave, coffee maker and
more. Our water is fresh and pure. The full bathroom has sparkling new
fixtures.
Each of the two bedrooms has a comfortable queen-size bed –- one with a very
high quality orthopedic mattress especially for someone with back problems.
The living room features a glass-front wood stove (firewood provided), a quality stereo system, TV with VCR for videos, and a small office/play area with a built-in desk. The large living room couch also folds out to serve as a very comfortable queen-size bed. Electric baseboard heaters are located throughout the cottage.
A unique feature of Ravens Call Cottage is the glassed-in deck room. This is
a lovely sitting room by day & evening, and the built-in couch/beds provide
sleeping for two at night. A radiant heater keeps the entire room warm and
cozy in cooler weather. The rest of the exterior deck has plenty of room for
a festive barbecue, or dancing in the moonlight.
Ravens Call is surrounded by lovely free-form
garden beds featuring flowering shrubs, fragrant herbs, and beyond that half
an acre of naturally landscaped rolling grassland.
